UFC cutman Jacob “Stitch” Duran will put his skills to use as a character in the “Rocky” spinoff “Creed,” which went into production this month.
Duran said he’ll soon report to Philadelphia for six weeks of filming.
“I got a call from Sylvester Stallone and the producers,” he told MMAjunkie Radio. “Apollo Creeds’ son is going to be trained by Rocky Balboa. I got the script, and I have a pretty significant role in that.
“I have lines, and I’ll be practicing on my wife and my son, Daniel, because I am not an actor.”
“They wanted somebody of significant value to do what I do, so I’ll be part of Rocky’s team in the gyms and some of the fight scenes,” he said. “I’m really excited to be doing that.”
