“There’s a lot of pressure, but I’m going to take it and embrace it,” Holm said. “If no one was talking about me, that means maybe they didn’t think I was going to do anything great. I have a lot to prove. I want to just take this fight and not look past it, because every fighter is a threat.”
If she does get through Pennington, though, and eventually gets that shot at Rousey, does she think she has what it takes to top someone who hasn’t shown any weaknesses?
“She’s run through everybody and made it look easy,” Holm said. “On the flip side, everybody is beatable. Everybody is human, and everybody is beatable. If you don’t feel like you can do it, you shouldn’t do it.”
