“I’m going to sprint straight for him. I won’t give him a second. I’m going to go in with my hands raised and I’m going to be talking to him while I’m whuppin’ him at the same time, the same way I do them all,” McGregor said. “I feel Aldo has made a career of beating short, stocky wrestlers that are not good on the feet, that are more intimidated on the feet and they shoot from halfway across the cage. And I’m going to go in, I’m going to break him. I’m going to be on top of him from the bell. I will break Jose Aldo.”
McGregor also mocked Aldo for dressing up as a king when he was cageside for his Siver fight and called his outfit a “cheap piece of sh#t”. When Aldo didn’t square off with him after his win in Boston, citing superstition as his reason, McGregor saw that as a sign of fear. Without question, McGregor’s convinced he’ll win both the physical and mental aspects of their fight.
“It’s hard to fight a guy like me. Then you top on the pressure that comes with fighting me, it’s not like fighting a normal man. I don’t think people realize that until they are involved and there’s these [media engagements] going on. People shut down with that. Emotions play a big, big part in combat. So for me, it’s another day. I’ve been doing it since we’ve been here. We will see. I feel confident that he will not be able to handle what I bring.”
