BJ Penn arrested, involved in assault in Maui

A report states former UFC champion B.J. Penn was involved in an altercation this past Saturday at a hotel in Maui, Hawaii, that led to his arrest.
MauiWatch.com reported Sunday that an inebriated Penn “severely assaulted” a friend, who fled to a hotel room and called police.
A rep for the Maui County (Hawaii) Police Department confirmed to MMAjunkie that Penn was arrested and released, but could not provide further details on the case and referred the matter to the department’s public information office, which did not respond to calls.
