UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey on Wednesday broke another barrier in her already illustrious career, winning “Best Female Athlete” at the 2014 ESPYs in Los Angeles.

Rousey, 27, was also nominated for “Best Fighter,” as was UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones, but both fell short to boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, who picked up his third straight win in the category.

Nevertheless, the UFC women’s champ earned an accolade that’s so far eluded other UFC stars. Jones was snubbed for the third year in a row after three nominations for “Best Fighter.” UFC middleweight champ Chris Weidman also fell short in the “Upset of the Year” category for his knockout of Anderson Silva at UFC 162.
