Kizer, who was named the NSAC’s executive director in 2006, stepped down from his post this past week and will return to the state attorney general’s office.
Friday’s NSAC meeting takes place at the Grant Sawyer State Office Building (suite 3200, third floor) and begins at 2:30 p.m. PT local time. It’s open to the public.
The meeting has two items on the agenda: “discussion concerning recruitment and appointment of executive director,” as well as “appoint subcommittee to review applications, perform interviews and make recommendations to the full commission for the position of executive director.”
Kizer, who said it was simply “time to go back to being an attorney,” previously served as legal counsel to the NSAC prior to taking the role of executive director from Marc Ratner, who resigned in 2006 to join the UFC as the promotion’s vice president of regulatory affairs.
