Everything went well in surgery for Rodrigo Minotauro Friday morning at the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo. The procedure lasted about an hour and was aimed at the rehabilitation of ligament and tendon of left elbow. In this case pieces of bones that were removed from the arm. The fighter’s physiotherapist, Angela Cortes, followed everything closely and told Combate.com it was a success.
An MRI done this week showed that the Minotauro had suffered a complete rupture of the medial collateral ligament in his left elbow.
Minotauro will use a sling for at least a week, and work will begin physical therapy immediately. There is still no estimate of when it might be back in the Octagon.
