“I’m still trying to lick my wounds,” said Ortiz (18-12). “I can’t take anything away from Liam. He fought the best I can give. I went there and fought and the guy slipped it (the inverted triangle submission) in. We’ve been defending triangles. I was pulling out of those long limbs. I tried to pull out, but he was the better man.”
“”I’m going to enjoy my time right now,” said Ortiz, who talked of being able to wake up and take his kids to school, noting he missed most of their summer in preparing for this fight.
“I’m going to let my body heal a little bit. I still love training. I want to be with my kids and my girlfriend Amber (former UFC ring girl Amber Nichole Miller), and enjoy life, and win some fishing tournaments.”
