Melvin Guillard signs with Bellator®

Veteran lightweight slugger Melvin Guillard, who’s recently competed for the UFC and WSOF, has signed with Bellator MMA.

Bellator officials today announced a “multi-year, multi-fight contract” for the 32-year-old vet, though financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

A debut date and opponent will be announced in the “near future,” according to the announcement.

“We are excited to have Melvin coming onboard,” Bellator President Scott Coker stated. “With competitors the likes of lightweight champion Will Brooks, Michael Chandler, Marcin Held, Derek Anderson, Saad Awad, Dave Jansen and Patricky ‘Pitbull’ (Freire) on the roster already, the matchup possibilities for an exciting fighter like him are endless.
