Following a close loss last weekend to Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in Boston, former lightweight champion Benson Henderson proclaimed that he wanted to fight again soon and was wiling to face anyone, any time, anywhere.
It seems the UFC was listening.
An injury has forced Bobby Green out of his scheduled bout against Jorge Masvidal at FOX Sports 1 UFC Fight Night: Mendes vs. Lamas on April 4. Benson Henderson got the call and will step in to replace Green and face Masvidal as the new co-main event in Fairfax, Virginia.
UFC officials confirmed the fight to FOX Sports on Thursday.
