“The Axe Murderer” told fans in last week’s video blog that he was headed to the event to support his fighters, but upon arriving in Brazil, was informed that he had been removed from the promotion’s PR schedule, according to ESPN.
So he skipped town and hit up a local watering hole to catch the fights.
But Grace Tourinho, UFC Managing Director in Brazil, told the mixed martial arts (MMA) media at the TUF: “Brazil 3” Finale post fight press conference (via FOX Sports) that Silva was supposed to attend the event, but never showed up.
“I was expecting him and he didn’t show up.”
