UFC president Dana White (pictured), who would be dealing directly with boxing’s biggest draw in contract negotiations if that came to fruition, states he’d welcome Mayweather with open arms into the world of MMA.

“I’ve been here for 13 years, man, and I’ve seen every manager, would-be promoter, whatever, come and go … but at the end of the day, when somebody’s contract is up, we negotiate with somebody. It doesn’t matter who it is, we’re gonna negotiate with somebody,” White said Monday at a media gathering in Los Angeles.

“That’s never going to change. It’s always going to be that way. Contracts end and you go into negotiations with whoever it is that’s handling their deal. And for guys like Floyd and his whole team over there to be saying they’re interested in managing fighters and getting involved in MMA, I don’t see how that’s a bad thing. It’s a good thing, it’s a positive thing.”
