Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski 4, OneFC

It’s Sylvia’s first booking since the 36-year-old recently was offered a Strikeforce contract and a fight with Daniel Cormier that was later rescinded. Sylvia recently told MMAjunkie.com(www.mmajunkie.com) he was “shocked” that the contract, which would have allowed him to move into the UFC after the Strikeforce fight, was ultimately scrapped. The UFC’s Frank Mir got the slot against Cormier instead.

As a consolation, Sylvia now fights Arlovski for a fourth time. Seven years ago, they were the two biggest names in the UFC’s rather shallow heavyweight division. Arlovski won the first meeting via submission to win the interim title, but a year later, Sylvia won the next two fights to first take and then defend the belt.

Lately, Sylvia has been busy on the regional circuit. Fighting at heavyweight and super heavyweight, he’s won seven of his past eight fights, six via stoppage.
